A beveled edge or beveled corner is an edge or corner which has been rounded down or cut on an angled slant. This glass working technique adds an extra level of polish and glamour to a mirror surface. The technique adds little cost to a mirror, but can add loads of style. Straight bevels on square or rectangular mirrors are many times machine cut and polished. Shaped mirrors, round or arch-top mirrors require a different technique and are sometimes cut and polished by hand. Generally, the wider the bevel on the mirror glass, the more costly it is to produce. When shopping for a new mirror look to the edges!
